Dental Implant Procedure

Before Dr. Peterson determines whether you’re a candidate for dental implants, we will need to conduct a thorough evaluation of your gums, jawbone, and existing teeth. In order to secure the dental implant, we will refer you to a licensed oral surgeon who will fix a titanium post into your jawbone for each missing tooth or for the restorations that will anchor your bridge or denture. Then the implant takes a “natural” course, as the bone fuses with the titanium post, creating a stable foundation for your new restoration. After your dental implant is secure, Dr. Peterson will fasten a permanent, porcelain crown to each post.
